Calabasas Style: How Stephanie Levich Helps Create Families

Calabasas Style Magazine Profiles Family Match Consulting Founder Stephanie Levich

In its March 2020 issue, Calabasas Style Magazine featured Family Match Consulting founder Stephanie Levich in “Egg Donation and Surrogacy: How a Local Woman Helps to Create Families After Infertility.”

Writer Sarah Prager explored the personal experiences that shaped Levich’s career, the beginnings of Family Match Consulting, and her approach to helping intended parents navigate egg donation and surrogacy.

From Personal Experience to Family Match Consulting

Long before founding Family Match Consulting, family building was personal for Levich.

The article shares her own experience with infertility and IVF, as well as her connection to adoption. Those experiences, combined with more than a decade working in the fertility field, helped shape the work she would eventually build at Family Match Consulting.

Founded in 2015, FMC was created to help intended parents navigate a process that can quickly become overwhelming, particularly when they are trying to understand different agencies, potential matches, medical requirements, legal considerations, and the many decisions involved along the way.

A Broader Approach to Finding the Right Match

Calabasas Style also highlighted Family Match Consulting’s approach to searching for egg donors and surrogates.

Rather than limiting intended parents to the candidates available through a single agency, FMC works across a broad network of agencies to expand the search and give families more options when looking for the right match.

Just as importantly, clients have someone on their side helping them understand the process, evaluate their options, and coordinate the many pieces involved.

As Levich explained in the article, intended parents often begin without knowing what they don’t know. Her role is to advocate for them and help bring those pieces together.

Helping Families Build Families

The profile also touched on the diversity of families Family Match Consulting serves, including LGBTQ+ couples, single parents, and clients requiring a higher level of privacy.

While the paths and circumstances may be different, the purpose of the work remains remarkably simple.

Calabasas Style noted professional recognition Levich had received over the years, but when asked about the highlight of her career, she pointed somewhere else entirely: the happiness she sees when clients finally bring their baby home.

Years later, that is still the part that matters most.
